Time is money, if you can stay productive for longer during the second part of the day you can achieve far more and of course, earn far more $$$.
There’s a few ways I manage to stay productive all day long. In fact, some of my most productive hours are 8-12pm, after I’ve already done a 12 hour day. Here’s a summary…
Firstly, a critical task list to work from with smaller sub task helps you stay focused, rather than procrastinating or slowing down after a few hours work. As you may know, I’m really big on setting daily task lists, I believe this is one of the best tips to stay productive and focused all day.
Next, changing your environment is important, especially if you’ve got a long day of intense work. As I often work remote, I’ll change my position a couple of times per day, between critical tasks. It’s important not to lose a ton of time doing this, but, simply moving across the room or 5 minutes away can help. If you work remote, rotating the places you work is vital over the long term or you can become very fatigued.
Another vital tip is daily exercise, which has been shown to boost productivity and brain function. I often train twice per day, once in the AM and again around 4pm to give me a 30-60 minute mental break and wake me up. Any form of exercise is good, even a 20 minute cardio session or home workout blast.
Finally, I’m a big fan of using stimulants and supplements to boost focus and brain function. It’s important not to become reliant on these, but use them to take your productivity a step further. I take 200mg caffeine twice per day and you can play around with other cognitive enhancers as well to give you an extra boost if needed!
