So I know a lot of my followers still work 9-5 and haven’t taken the leap of faith to be an entrepreneur, if so, the question becomes how can you still WIN BIG?
The answer, as always, is ADD VALUE. Especially where others don’t. The employees that go above and beyond are the ones that ultimately earn the attention and favor of the boss, get promoted and win.
Here are just a few steps, as an executive, that I recommend employees take in order to add tons of value in their workplace:
⚠ Come with solutions not problems – if you find an issue that needs to be addressed, before taking it to the boss, come up with 2-3 possible solutions that can you can present.
⚠ Be proactive – if you see an issue or task that needs to be addressed and no one else is taking responsibility for it, step in and be that person.
⚠ Be reliable – when you’re given a task, always follow through with it, even if it adds extra work to your load. Do everything in your power to meet the deadline with high quality work. This will quickly earn you a reputation as the “go-to” person when things need to get done, on time and correctly.
⚠ Show up a little earlier and stay a little later than everyone else – try to show up for work early and get a head start on the day by making a critical task list before you clock in. This way, you have momentum going into your work day. In addition, stay a little later after to work to complete tasks that others might otherwise put off until the next day.
⚠ Finally, invest in yourself. Read books. Listen to podcasts. Partake in networking events. Do anything you can to upgrade yourself and increase your value within your company.
Just applying these 5 steps will provide a massive ROI for your efforts, helping you quickly progress, be promoted and earn more 👍
