Remember to reward yourself for your endeavors, not only as positive self-reinforcement, but also in order to maintain sanity, increase creativity and overcome mental blocks. I actually get the best ideas when I detach a little.
By this, I don’t mean just heading to the bars and wasting all your money like some people do, but finding fruitful and meaningful activities that impact your life or provide real pleasure.
Just like with training, rest is just as important as the work you put in in the gym. Same rule applies to life – take breaks relative to your success. Tim Ferris talks about periodizing his work load just as he periodizes his weight room routine.
Progress your work load accordingly, adapt and thrive, then strategically program a break to give your mind and body some rest. Whether it’s a few hours, a few days/weeks/month, they can all be programmed similar to micro-, meso- and macro-cycles (small, medium and long-term).
Not that it’s mine (I’d rather spend those calories in the from of 🧀), but, as always drink responsibly if that’s your thing 😉
