How often have you seen or heard of someone super successful “suddenly” pop up on your instagram or in passing conversation?
What may seem like overnight success, is never overnight success. The most successful people in the world have always hustled for years to get where they are and made sacrifices most can’t begin to comprehend.
Paying your dues and working hard are important, but if you don’t live below your means and endure some short-term sacrifice, you will never truly find the freedom you seek.
When I was 18-20, I worked 3 jobs, over 80 hours per week. I did crazy stuff on the side too, like buying and selling on eBay and even riding a bike to my job in cold UK winter just to say 100$ per month in gas so i could re-invest that back into property.
I still had fun and spent money, but, I saved nearly 75% of my monthly salary and later invested it into multiple real estate investments which has paid me significant dividends since. These days; my properties pay more back to me on autopilot than most people my age earn working a 40 hour a week. As the title says, short-term pain equals long-term rewards…
If you want to achieve anything significant in life you need to put in the work for years before you see a result. Luckily, because I started way earlier than most, I’m able to start reaping some of these rewards right now, but i still don’t expect to live my planned, extraordinary life until I’m 40+.
I still know I’ve got a lot of work to do and have to make some more sacrifices along the way for the next 10 years until I reach my own desired level of financial backing and quality of life.
What sacrifices are you willing to make for your dream life?
